Recognized as an industry leader in advanced protective strategies and high-profile investigations, Michael is a Founding Partner and the President of Rozin Security. With nearly 25 years of experience focused on preventing targeted violence, he has developed custom security risk assessment tools, training programs, and intelligence solutions tailored to today’s evolving threat landscape—designed for professionals operating in complex, technology-driven environments.

In addition to leading Rozin Security, Michael co-founded Rozin Technologies in 2021, where he envisioned and helped develop TIPS® (Threat Information Protection System)—a proprietary software platform designed to streamline threat assessment and management (TAM) through modern, integrated workflows.

Early Experience in Israeli Security Services

Michael began his protection career in the Israel Defense Forces, where he served as a sergeant in the elite Barkan combat unit. He went on to complete advanced training at the Israel Security Academy, under the oversight of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet). During his early work as a security agent at Ben-Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, he received an award for excellence for his performance at the agency.

U.S. Sector Leadership and Model Development

After relocating to the U.S. in 2005, Michael transitioned to the private sector, leading the special operations for the largest shopping mall in the United States, the Mall of America (MOA). As special operations security captain, he developed, implemented, and managed a behavioral threat detection and assessment program and various other programs focused on targeted mass violence prevention. These initiatives proved so effective that they were presented to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security as a security model in the private sector in 2008.

National Recognition

Michael is a Certified Threat Manager (CTM®) through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), a graduate of the Institute of Counterterrorism at IDC Herzliya in Israel, and a certified Krav Maga instructor. He frequently speaks at law enforcement and homeland security conferences on proactive security methodologies and teaches at the University of Minnesota’s Master of Science in Security Technologies program. He also serves on the University of Tampa’s Criminology and Criminal Justice Department Advisory Board.
